The IMS competition filter basket was developed in collaboration with champion baristas, international companies and quality coffee roasters, in order to define a standard that satisfies even the most demanding of palates.
 
This non-pressurized 2-cup filter basket with a capacity of 21 to 23 g is made of stainless steel and manufactured in Italy by IMS. Its exclusive and patented perforation technology brings out the best espresso flavour. Hundreds of microscopic, laser-cut holes with a cone-shaped cross section enable the extraction of all the aromatic notes, keeping the body and texture of the crema intact.
 
This filter basket is compatible with the espresso machines from the Solis Perfetta product line.

More About Solis IMS Perfetta Filter Basket 21-23 g
Electropolishing is used to polish the surface, remove burrs and improve corrosion resistance. The surface's mirror finish prevents dirt from adhering to it, facilitates cleaning and allows coffee to pass through without any obstruction. A filter without coffee residue extracts only freshly ground coffee, rendering this phase of the process faster and safer, always guaranteeing an optimal result.
 
The cylindrical shape of the filter basket with a narrowing at the base creates a compact coffee puck which allows the coffee to get a better extraction and space for the coffee volume.
 
IMS competition filters are subjected to relamination, a process that accounts for the removal of perforation burrs and work-hardening of the perforated area, making it more resistant and durable. Through recalibration, which is another treatment exclusive to competition filters, the diameter of the perforations is uniform to ensure constant dispensing, for both the whole surface and interchangeability between the filters.
